
Tom Schlipp started in Royal Rangers in 1982 in Northern Cal/Nevada District at age 14. In 1984 his parents moved the family to the Northwest District. He joined the Army in 1986 after graduation from high school. The Army brought him to Fort Hood in 1990. He began working with Outpost 318 of North Texas District as a Trail Ranger commander then senior commander.
He has served on the Waco Section staff since 1992 in the capacity of Trailblazer/Air-Sea-Trail Rangers Coordinator, training coordinator, deputy sectional commander, and for the last six years as sectional commander.
He joine FCF in 1992. He has earned the blue LMA, Gold LMA, Leaders Service Award, Outpost Commanders Award, and the Blue and Gold Cluster Awards.
He has also attended NTC, ANTC, and WCO. He has completed many LTA modules and is a certified instructor. He has served on staff at AMC, DTC, JTC, as well as LTA campouts and ARTs.
